  • Virtual Courses

To support managers and staff in these unprecedented times, Hampshire Workforce Development have designed and built a range of virtual courses which are open to staff from Hampshire County Council and Hampshire Constabulary, consisting of:

    • Virtual Bitesizes – short 'Bitesize' courses in key topics. These are based on our Bitesize courses (still available as packs for self-delivery to teams).
    • Virtual Courses – half-day 'deeper dives' into topics.
    • New Manager – A new programme designed to support new managers in the first 12 months of their first management or supervisory role.

Dates of courses running in April are listed below and further dates for May onwards will be advertised soon. Details of how to find out more and book a space are below.

    • Virtual Bitesizes

These are virtual versions of our existing short Bitesize courses. In addition, team leaders can request a pack for self-delivery to their teams – visit the Bitesize courses page for more information.

When searching on the Learning Zone, make sure you select the version with the words “Virtual Bitesize” after the course title.

      • Virtual Courses

These are virtual versions of our half-day courses, and offer a deeper dive than the bitesize courses.

When searching on the Learning Zone, make sure you select the version with the words “ Virtual Course” or “Virtual Classroom” after the course title.

        • New Manager Programme

This programme is designed to support new managers in the first 12 months of their first management or supervisory role. You could be new to the organisation, or newly promoted to your first management role. It is a blended programme consisting of essential pre-reading and tasks, a one-day virtual course, followed by essential post-course activities. For more information please visit the New Manager course page.
